Decision of the President of the European Patent Office dated 24 October 2014 concerning the filing of international applications with the EPO acting as receiving Office using ePCT-Filing

The President of the European Patent Office, having regard to Rule 2 EPC and Rule 89bis.1 PCT, has decided as follows:

Article 1

Filing using ePCT-Filing

(1) International applications under the PCT may, in accordance with this decision and without prejudice to other means of filing, be filed with the European Patent Office acting as receiving Office using ePCT-Filing.

(2) The details, conditions and requirements for filing documents referred to in paragraph 1 are available in the Guidelines for filing international applications using the ePCT system (ePCT-Filing), published by the World Intellectual Property Organization[ 1 ].

Article 2

Entry into force

This decision shall enter into force on 1 November 2014.
