ICT seminar 2016
Event for patent professionals
13 and 14 September 2016
New York City, NY, USA
What is the importance for US industry to protect its inventions in Europe? What are the opportunities and challenges US practitioners can encounter? What are the main differences between US and European practice in filing and prosecuting patent applications in the field of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT)?
In the morning EPO senior examiners, managers and lawyers, supported by experienced European patent agents, will provide insights into best practices across the whole patenting process, from filing to the end stage of opposition. The afternoon will be devoted to some “hands-on” work in thematic breakout sessions focused on drafting applications according to European standards. The day will be rounded up by a panel discussion on the role of the EPO under the PCT.
This high-level event is organised in close co-operation with the Intellectual Property Owners Association (IPO).
The conference will be preceded by a networking drinks reception on 13 September, from 5.30 to 7.30 PM.
This event is directed to IP managers, patent agents, patent lawyers, in-house counsels and all other patent professionals who are active in or moving into filing and prosecuting patent applications in ICT fields at the EPO.
